Serving and Pairing

“Dessert, coffee, and chocolate all in one- what more could you want?”

Once prepared, this mocha cream dessert will look and taste stunning. It’s best to slice it into squares or pie-shaped wedges and serve it chilled. You can also top it off with a dollop of whipped cream, chocolate syrup, or caramel for an extra touch of sweetness.

This dessert is a perfect choice for a dinner party or any special occasion. It pairs well with a cup of hot coffee or tea, as well as a glass of ice-cold milk or rich wine. If you want to level up the presentation, you can dust the surface with cocoa powder or chocolate shavings before serving.

Make-Ahead, Storing and Reheating

“This dessert is so good, you won’t even notice it’s caffeine-loaded!”

One of the best things about this mocha cream dessert recipe is that it can be made ahead of time! In fact, I recommend making it at least a few hours before serving, if not the night before. This will give the flavors enough time to fully develop and mingle together.

To store this dessert, cover it with plastic wrap to keep it fresh and prevent any unwanted fridge odors from affecting its flavor. You can store it in an airtight container, too. Once refrigerated, this mocha cream dessert cake can last up to 2-3 days.

When it comes to reheating, you should avoid doing so directly in the oven or microwave. Instead, let the mocha cream cake sit outside for about 10 minutes in room temperature and let the layers soften a bit for the perfect bite every time.

Make-ahead dishes can be such game-changers when entertaining guests or in cases when you simply want to take some stress off right before serving a meal. Having a dessert ready to go makes life just that bit easier and more enjoyable – this applies doubly so for desserts as delicious as this mocha cream dessert recipe!
