Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg pear
  • 1/4 cup Splenda sugar substitute
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons instant coffee
  • 2 teaspoons instant coffee
  • 210 g dark chocolate
  • 1/2 cup double cream
  • 1 tablespoon boiling water

Instructions
 

  • PEEL and core pears; cut in half.
  • NOTE: Can used drained canned pears too! :).
  • Will reduce cooking time in half! :).
  • Place in an casserole dish.
  • Heat oven to 180°C.
  • In saucepan, add water, Splenda, and 2 tablespoons coffee; STIR until all is dissolved.
  • Simmer for 5 - 7 minutes.
  • POUR mixture over pears.
  • BAKE about 40 minutes.
  • Remove pears and place covered on a warm plate while making sauce; RESERVE SAUCE.
  • In saucepan, ADD above sauce; bring to a boil; simmer for 7 - 10 minutes.
  • On LOW heat, add chocolate, 2 teaspoons coffee that has been dissolved in 1 tablespoon BOILING water and cream; STIR until smooth.
  • DRIZZLE sauce over pears.
  • If doing for entertaining, can garnish it with two mint leaves.
  • ENJOY!
