Coffee Pears With Chocolate Sauce Recipe

PEEL and core pears; cut in half.
NOTE: Can used drained canned pears too! :).
Will reduce cooking time in half! :).
Place in an casserole dish.
Heat oven to 180°C.
In saucepan, add water, Splenda, and 2 tablespoons coffee; STIR until all is dissolved.
Simmer for 5 - 7 minutes.
POUR mixture over pears.
BAKE about 40 minutes.
Remove pears and place covered on a warm plate while making sauce; RESERVE SAUCE.
In saucepan, ADD above sauce; bring to a boil; simmer for 7 - 10 minutes.
On LOW heat, add chocolate, 2 teaspoons coffee that has been dissolved in 1 tablespoon BOILING water and cream; STIR until smooth.
DRIZZLE sauce over pears.
If doing for entertaining, can garnish it with two mint leaves.
