  • 2 teaspoons of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon of cinnamon
  • A pinch of salt

Now that we’ve got all our ingredients for this delicious sugar-free cappuccino custard, it’s time to get started on the recipe! Let’s move to the kitchen and bake up something amazing.

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

First things first, preheat your oven to 325°F. Get a medium-sized baking pan that will fit all of your custard cups or ramekins, placing it aside for now.

Step 2: Prep the Ingredients

To make your cappuccino custard, add two tablespoons of instant coffee granules and two teaspoons of cinnamon powder to a saucepan. Stir in one cup of milk, 2 tbsp of white chocolate, 4 tbsp of Splenda granular, and a pinch of salt. Set it over medium heat until it comes to a boil.

Step 3: Mix in Eggs

While the mixture is heating up, whisk three egg yolks in a small mixing bowl. Once the milk mixture comes to a boil, remove it from heat and gradually pour half of it into the egg yolks while constantly whisking.

Step 4: Add Vanilla Extract

Pour the newly added egg and milk mixture back into the saucepan with the remainder of the hot milk. Now add two tsp vanilla extract, stirring everything nicely together.

Step 5: Bake the Custard

Set the custard cups into a baking dish or pan. Pour in enough hot water until it reaches about halfway up the sides of your cups. Place them into your preheated oven on the center rack for around 20-30 minutes or until firmly set.

Step 6: Cool and Chill

Once done cooking, remove from oven and cool them down at room temperature before transferring them to chill in the fridge for approx. three hours or until they are completely cooled.

Optional (Step 7): Add Cocoa Powder and Whipped Cream

If you’d like, add a sprinkle of cocoa powder to each custard cup and top with some whipped cream before serving.

That’s it! Your delicious homemade cappuccino custard is now ready. Serve them up and enjoy the sugar-free dessert.

As a barista, I know that personalizing your coffee is essential for enjoying every sip. And that’s why I am delighted to give you some suggestions to experiment with the Cappuccino Custard recipe, so you can tailor it to your tastes even more.

If you want to make this recipe dairy-free, use almond or coconut milk instead of cow’s milk. For a low-carb version, replace the sugar with a sugar substitute like stevia or erythritol. You could also use cocoa powder instead of the cinnamon to make a mocha custard cappuccino.

To make it keto-friendly, you can replace the cornstarch with xanthan gum or chia seeds. Also, try adding a little bit of Kahlua liqueur for an extra special treat.

If you love pumpkin pie, you can adapt this recipe and make a Keto Pumpkin Custard by adding ½ cup of pumpkin puree and pumpkin pie spice instead of cinnamon.

If you want to have fun with serving sizes, instead of using custard cups or ramekins, grab some shot glasses and create Cappuccino Custard Shots.

On the other hand, if you love vanilla custard more than anything in the world, swap out the cappuccino mix for white chocolate bars or vanilla bean paste. Trust me, it will taste like heaven in every spoonful.

Remember that these are just ideas to inspire your creativity in making this delicious custard recipe. Don’t be afraid to experiment and let your taste buds decide which combinations work best for you.

When it comes to serving and pairing this delectable sugar-free cappuccino custard, there are many options to explore. You can choose to serve the custard chilled or warm, depending on your preference. I personally prefer serving it cold as it brings out the rich flavor of coffee and vanilla.

You can also use various toppings like whipped cream, white chocolate shavings, or a sprinkle of cinnamon powder to enhance the already delicious taste.

As for pairings, this custard goes well with various beverages like black coffee, iced coffee, and kahlua. The perfect after-dinner treat should be accompanied by something that compliments its flavors without overpowering them.

If you are looking for something more substantial, you can serve the cappuccino custard with chia pudding or baked egg custard. For low-carb options, you can pair it with keto pumpkin custard or vanilla bean avalanche. Trust me; these combinations will elevate your dessert game.

Whether you choose to serve this custard as a stand-alone dessert or pair it with a complementing dish, you’re in for a treat! Making custard ahead of time is a great way to save time and make the most of your busy schedule. You can prepare this sugar-free cappuccino custard recipe a day in advance, or even two if you refrigerate it properly. Just follow the baking instructions given in the recipe and allow the custard to cool completely before covering it with plastic wrap and placing it in the refrigerator.

Storing this custard in the refrigerator is easy as long as you have an air-tight container. You can use glass jars, bowls or even plastic containers for convenience. You can store this cappuccino custard for up to a week in the fridge. However, let me remind you that longer storage periods may impact the texture and flavor of the custard.

Reheating baked egg custards like this cappuccino custard requires special attention to avoid overcooking and curdling. You can reheat the entire baking dish by placing it in moderate water for 30-40 minutes under low heat with constant stirring until heated through.

Alternatively, you can microwave individual portions. Place each chilled dish in the microwave oven and heat it for about 15-20 seconds at a time on low power setting until hot. It’s best to start with shorter intervals first to prevent overheating.

Baked custards like this one are also delightful when served cold. The creamy custard has a smooth texture that is perfect for enjoying cold or even partially frozen. If you want to enjoy a frozen version of this dessert, transfer the cooled custard into smaller serving dishes with lids and freeze them for up to three months.

P.S – Whether it’s baked egg custards like this vanilla cappuccino or chilled treats like chia pudding, storing them correctly will ensure their longevity and prevent wastage.

5. Bake in an inch baking pan – Baking your cappuccino custard in an inch baking pan provides even heating and ensures that it cooks evenly.
