Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 2 eggs

Topping

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup nuts, chopped
  • 4 tablespoons butter

Garnish

  • 1/4 cup caramel, melted

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375.
  • Grease pan.
  • Combine topping ingredients until crumbly and put aside.
  • Combine remaining ingredients and spread half of the batter in pan, and sprinkle 1/3 of the topping on batter.
  • Top with remaining batter and sprinkle with half of remaining topping.
  • Bake 30-40 minute in bunt pan, or until golden brown and toothpick when inserted comes out clean.
  • When cake has cooled slightly, invert pan onto plat to remove cake.
  • Drizzle with caramel.
